Grades 7-12: Learn how you can practice self-care and support your mental well-being.

Catastrophizing and overgeneralization are common thought patterns but lead to increased stress and anxiety. Learn to recognize and counteract unhealthy thinking patterns in this workshop led by Raheemah Watson, a community representative from Fort Wayne Community Schools.

This program is intended for 7th-12th Grade.

About the library

Pontiac Branch shares a campus with the Fort Wayne Urban League and Brightpoint’s Hanna Creighton Head Start. It has a 2 story playscape for children and artwork on the pillars by Theoplis Smith. Don’t miss the stained glass window that was designed by William L. Lupkin Designs and donated by the building’s architect, Alan R.Grinsfelder. The Pontiac Branch is a community destination for neighborhood kids, organizations & clubs, and those in need of computer access.
