Pontiac Branch

Meeting Room

Cooking and culture will combine as we make our own masala chai and learn about the history of chai.

Join us for an engaging afternoon where we will dive into the world of storytelling and culinary arts! After an introduction to the author of our featured story, Masala Chai: Fast and Slow; attendees will roll up their sleeves for a hands-on cooking session. We will focus on basic cooking skills and terminology while mixing and brewing spices into a delicious tea.

Attendees will taste test their creations while listening to the featured story and other facts about tea. We'll also use our five sense to explore the various spices used in this recipe.

Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
