The Maker Lab at the Georgetown Branch is open to anyone wanting to use the sewing machines, 3D Printers, Glowforge, Dremel Rotary Tool, Silhouette Cutter, and Soldering Station. The Lab offers six PC laptops, Ipads, and Wacom tablets that are available to use in the lab with software including Adobe Creative Cloud, 3D design (Blender, Meshmixer, 123D Design), and much more!
Come in and see what's available to get your next project off the ground. You can tinker, collaborate, and create your project in our lab.
Patrons are responsible for bringing their own raw supplies (wood for glowforge, fabric for sewing, etc.). PLA filament for 3D printers is provided at $1 a hour.
Lab technical help for select machines and softwares is available if needed for patrons.
From the Maker Lab Rules:
No open footwear such as sandals or flip-flops.
No loose or dangling scarves, jewelry, ribbons, or long hair.
Parents of children under 12 must be present the entire time.
All technology and machine users must sign a release form. Parents/guardians of minors must co-sign form alongside their child.
