Can you build a basket to hold all the goodies Red will bring to her Grandmother? Join us for a fairy-tale STEM challenge!

After reading a Little Red Riding Hood tale children ages 6-11 are invited to put on their thinking caps and design a basket for delivering items without breaking or being sniffed out by the big bad wolf. We will then use Strawbees to bring their designs to life! But will their designs work? After building attendees will test their designs by placing various treats inside and listing to see how much the basket will hold.

Younger children are welcome to attend but will be provided an alternative building material (such as wooden blocks or Lego Duplos).

Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
