Experience the creepy world of VR during our Halloween Extravaganza!
Come in and experience virtual reality at your local library! Using Virtual Reality headsets patrons will learn all about this exciting new technology, and then experience it by journeying into VR themselves. Participants will navigate not-so-spooky Halloween-scapes with a library guide. Using a headset and a controller, brave participants can explore a haunted house and go on a haunted hayride filled with all things Halloween including ghosts, giant spiders and creepy eyeballs. Limited to 12 participants.
This program was designed for 2nd grade and up. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program.
Space is limited: Register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.

Pontiac Branch shares a campus with the Fort Wayne Urban League and Brightpoint’s Hanna Creighton Head Start. It has a 2 story playscape for children and artwork on the pillars by Theoplis Smith. Don’t miss the stained glass window that was designed by William L. Lupkin Designs and donated by the building’s architect, Alan R.Grinsfelder. The Pontiac Branch is a community destination for neighborhood kids, organizations & clubs, and those in need of computer access.
