Visit the Studio at Main to create your very own glow-in-the-dark earrings using a Glowforge Laser Printer! Patrons are invited to this introductory program to learn what laser printing is, how to safely use it, and what kinds of tasks it can accomplish. After learning the basics, patrons will be free to design their earrings using the Glowforge design app. Then, their designs will be engraved and/or cut out of glow-in-the-dark acrylic. Finally, assemble the earrings using the provided jewelry! Familiarity with computers is highly recommended prior to attending this program. Limited to 10 participants.
This program was designed for 7th grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.
Space is limited: Register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.
