Celebrate the final chapter of one of Fort Wayne’s favorite summer traditions at the Allen County Public Library’s last-ever “Rock the Plaza” concert on Friday, July 18 from 4–10 p.m. on the Downtown Library Plaza. A rain date is scheduled for August 1.
Since its launch in 2007, Rock the Plaza has brought thousands of people together through free live music, helping showcase local artists and strengthen Fort Wayne’s growing music community. What began at a time when live music opportunities in the city were limited quickly became a beloved annual event filled with music, memories, and community connection.
This extended farewell concert will feature a lineup of fan favorites and longtime Rock the Plaza performers, including URB, Phil’s Family Lizard, Pop n Fresh, Alicia Pyle & the Locals, and Pink Droyd. The extended evening of music will serve as both a reunion and a celebration of the artists, volunteers, sponsors, and audiences who helped shape the series over nearly two decades.
While this will be the final Rock the Plaza concert, the event also celebrates how Fort Wayne’s live music scene has grown and evolved over the years.
This final concert is made possible through the generous support of the ACPL Foundation and Beers Mallers, LLP.
The event is free and open to the public. Parking at the Downtown Library will be free for the duration of the concert. Bring your friends, family, and lawn chairs and join the community one more time to sing, dance, and celebrate the lasting impact of Rock the Plaza.
