Are you looking for leadership opportunities? Do you want to contribute to the teen experience at ACPL and leave a long-lasting impact on our community? Are you looking to make new friends?
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a way for you to earn volunteer hours, be a positive force in your community, and learn critical leadership skills that will help you for the rest of your life! This season, participating teens will discuss and implement ways to enliven the teen space at Main! A librarian will facilitate each session; each of the six sessions will guide the group through the process of working together to decide on an idea, delegate tasks, and make it reality.
No applications necessary, just show up! We invite all teens in grades 7th -12th to participate. Missed a session? That's okay; you do not need to attend all sessions to participate.
Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking in Library lots costs $1/hour with a $7 daily max. ACPL patrons receive the first 3 hours of parking for free.
