Intended for upper elementary children, participants in this program will read Those Shoes by Maribeth Boelts and reflect on the difference between what people have and who they are on the inside. After reading, children will design a pair of illustrated shoes that expresses their personality, interests, and feelings, then create friendship bracelets to celebrate kindness, empathy, and supporting one another.
