Experience the brain-building power of loose parts! Curated everyday items take on all new significance when kids orchestrate their own play.

Loose parts play helps build vital physical and cognitive skills, promotes creativity and problem-solving, and encourages early literacy skills.  Enjoy our curated collection of open-ended materials and watch children create and explore on their own terms.

Space is limited. Register to receive event reminders. Accessibility needs? Our Theater has hearing devices and wheelchair spots available. Please contact ask@acpl.info if you have additional needs - we’d love to help.

The Georgetown branch is home to a full-service maker lab with a large collection of tools that customers can use to create things. The branch features a public fax machine, study rooms, a meeting room, and a popular collection of materials that includes video games.
