Learn how to use the Glowforge to engrave a portrait of your favorite women in history, or a woman that has made a positive impact in your life on to an acrylic plaque complete with its own light-up stand.
Come to the Studio at Georgetown to learn about using the Glowforge Laser Printer. Participants will create an engraved plaque using a custom design on clear acrylic utilizing the Glowforge design App. Participant's can either use the portraits provided to them or bring in a picture of a woman that has made an impact on their life on a USB stick (JPG or PNG formats please). Familiarity with computers is highly recommended prior to attending this program. Limited to 10 participants.
This program was designed for 7th grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.
