You can use a 3D pen to draw just about anything you can imagine! This program introduces you to the world of 3D printing through 3D pen art objects. Using a 3D pen allows you to draw on a flat surface or in mid-air using plastic filament. These drawings create two-or-three-dimensional structures that then solidify and harden. In this program participants will create their own two-dimensional butterfly or dragonfly using a template and 3D pen. No experience necessary. We will teach you how to use the 3D pen in safe manner. All supplies provided. Limited to 8 participants.
This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.
Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.
