An intro to computer coding featuring rotating games and challenges. Learn how to read and comprehend code.

Everyone should have an opportunity to learn about computer science! Coding for fun is an introduction to computer science and uses self-led online tutorials. Coding for fun! is not meant to teach everyone to become an expert in computer science, but allows everyone to have fun, improve problem solving skills, logic, reading for understanding, and to be creative. This builds a great foundation for learning computer languages and how to write a code for younger ages.

In this activity participants will switch roles: this time YOU are the computer! YOU will read and interpret the programs to find the right trajectory and win the challenges. You will have to focus and use your intuitive abilities to understand some core concepts of programming. After finishing Compute it, you will have a good practice on how a computer reads codeProgram is limited to 9 participants.

This program was designed for 4th grade through 12th grade, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist them. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Studio. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program.

Space is limited: Register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.
