DNA tests can help identify an unknown parent or grandparent. But the results you get from a DNA testing company can be confusing and frustrating. Fortunately, there are a few simple techniques you can learn and apply to find that unknown parent or grandparent!

Mike Sainsbury, MA, MLIS specializes in genetic genealogy to identify unknown ancestors. He has solved or significantly narrowed the pool of candidates in several cases including adoptee and undocumented parents and grandparents, distant ancestors in a time and place with few written records, and Jewish ancestors in London’s East End.
