The Vasa Order of America operates as a Swedish-American fraternity akin to organizations such as Elks or Moose lodges. It maintains lodges across Canada, Sweden, and the United States. Within the Vasa National Archives, a compilation of records, photographs, regalia, and related materials from Local Lodges, District Lodges, and the Grand Lodge are stored. Additionally, comprehensive data concerning members, including genealogical details, is also gathered. The organization offers support for genealogical exploration, granting access to diverse databases, conducting oral history interviews, providing literature, and allowing entry to regional church records and newspapers. Presented by Kathy Cuff.
Kathy Cuff holds the position of Manager-Archivist within the Vasa Order of America National Archives, with a tenure of 7 years in this role. Prior to relocating from Tennessee to Illinois, she worked within college archives and museums for over ten years.
