Sweet home, Chicago! We’ll explore the top resources for finding your Chicago and Cook County ancestors, with an emphasis on available record sets, research strategies, important repositories, and more. Presented by Jaymie Middendorf.

Jaymie Middendorf is a genealogist and public librarian with a passion for helping others find their family history. She has family roots in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Cuba. She loves the Windy City and has a special interest in Polish Chicago. 

Jaymie holds a Certificate of Genealogical Research from Boston University. She has volunteered with the Illinois State Genealogical Society since 2016 and currently serves as their Honors & Awards Chair. She's a member of the Colorado Genealogical Society and the Illinois State Genealogical Society.
