Established in 1828, the Historical Society of Michigan (HSM) is the state's oldest cultural organization and helps connect Michigan’s past to its residents and organizations through programs and events, publications, awards, workshops, networking opportunities, and support for local history organizations. Join Robert Myers, Director of History Programming for the Historical Society of Michigan to learn more the mission of society, historical writing and publication

Robert Myers is the Director of History Programming for the Historical Society of Michigan. He holds a BA in history from Alma College and an MA in history from Western Michigan University. He has authored numerous books, and his articles have appeared in Michigan History Magazine, Chronicle, and Michigan Historical Review.
