USA at 250 Time Capsule Keepsake

Intermediate 3D Printing

Already familiar with the basics of 3D printing? To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, come to The Studio to create your own 3D-printed time capsule!

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, come to The Studio to create your own 3D-printed time capsule! Participants can bring their own keepsakes or select 3D printed items that commemorate the Semiquincentennial year, such as coins, newspaper clippings, documents, etc. Customize pre-designed 3D models of keepsake containers to be used for the preservation of these materials using TINKERCAD's scribble tool, and then print it. Participation in Intro to 3D Printing or previous familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing is highly recommended prior to attending this program. Limited to 10 participants. 

This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.  

Space is limited: Register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.
