Emma Holmes is the Assistant Reference Archivist for the Rhode Island State Archives, working with researchers from Rhode Island and around the world to access records. She has been working in professional genealogy, archives, and library settings for almost six years, assisting people who are researching their family, learning more about history and record collections. She enjoys hearing about people’s stories and helping people to connect their stories with history.
Ashley Selima serves as State Archivist for Rhode Island and works with stakeholders throughout the state to ensure proper care and management of public records. She is passionate about universal access to information and positive user experience in discovery of historic collections. She leads the State Archives Division in planning, coordinating, and connecting with the community through public events, assistance, and outreach. She also enjoys hiking the many unique and beautiful spots in the “biggest little state”, board games, and hobby baking.
