Curling Challenge

Code your Evo to score a curling goal using Ozobot Blockly Editor.

The Ozobot Evo is a mini robot that you can program in one of two ways: 1) by using colored markers, or 2) by utilizing block coding from a Blockly editor software. In this program participants will construct an attachment for their Evo to compete in a curling competition. Evo will push the curling stones into the goal area to score points. A visual programming platform, Ozobot Blockly enables users to code Evo robots by building block-based programs consisting of five levels that range from simple icon-based blocks (Level 1) to full-text programming (Level 5). Program is limited to 10 participants. 

This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.
