General overview of U.S. military history and records from colonial period to present as tool for furthering family history. Learn about America’s military history, how records created, how to obtain them, and other general publications and sources regarding military history and records.

Robert M. Wilbanks IV, B.A. [History], professional genealogist and speaker since 1989. Interested in history when very young, became interested in genealogy at 12. Member of many local and professional organizations, holding offices as editor, president, commander, and historian. Immediate Past-President of the Arizona Council of Professional Genealogists, and former Chief Genealogist & Historian for The Caledonian Society of Arizona. Attended Samford University’s IGHR 1990 to 1993. Led research groups to Family History Library SLC. Published: family history, U.S. Military Records, two books on Virginia genealogy, two family newsletters. Former writer of genealogy column for Desert Shamrock -- Arizona Irish bi-monthly newspaper. Founded Ancestral Pride: Professional Genealogy Services in 2009.
