Grades 6-12: Join us for a variety of fun activities, and...there will be food!
Create a poem by using an existing text, such as a newspaper article, book page, or any written material, and selectively blacking out or covering words to create a new poem with the words that remain visible. You can focus on just the words or involve an artistic element such as creating a shape with the blacked-out portions. Examples will be provided. Participants can read each other's poems at the end if comfortable.
Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
