Grades 6-12: Learn how you can practice self-care and support your mental well-being.
Make a mental health care kit for yourself, or make one for the library to share with others. Support your emotional and mental health by creating and individualizing a mental health care kit. We’ll provide you with a canvas pouch which you can paint or decorate. Some supplies you can put in the kit are quiet strips, a mini-pack of tissue, and mental health stickers. You can create other things to put into the pouch like a Calm Heart, a painted rock, and a beaded snake.
This program is intended for teens. Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
