Interested in connecting with your Revolutionary War ancestors? We will discuss specifics of connecting to existing patriots, establishing new ones, and strategies for overcoming the dreaded “red-lined” lineages. Whether you’re submitting a first-time application, or a "supplemental," join us to take notes on best practices and give your application its best shot. Presented by Kelley Conner Lear.

Kelley Conner Lear is a professional genealogist specializing in research in her home state of West Virginia, adopted state of Virginia, and central Appalachia. Kelley also serves as the Social Media Chair, Historian, and member of the Board of the Virginia Genealogical Society. She is also a member of the National Genealogical Society, Genealogical Research Institute of Virginia, KYOWVA Genealogical and Historical Society, Hackers Creek Pioneer Descendants, and other local societies.

She is also a current or past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America, Daughters of the War of 1812, and the South Carolina Huguenot Society. Kelley offers extensive experience with hundreds of approved lineage society applications. She served as State Genealogical Committee Chairwoman for the South Carolina DAR and a volunteer researcher for NSDAR's former 250 Task Force working to resolve complex applications.
