Only Teens and Tweens in the Maker Lab! The Maker Lab at the Georgetown Branch is open to tweens and teens wanting to use the 3D Printers, Glowforge, and Silhouette Cutter. The Lab offers six PC laptops, Ipads, and Wacom tablets that are available to use in the lab with software including Adobe Creative Cloud, 3D design (Blender, Meshmixer, 123D Design), and much more!
Choose from our list of projects to create using one of our Maker Lab machines and/or software programs. Alternatively, you can bring your own project to work on.
Machines are first-come, first-serve. Room capacity is limited to 8 people. Participants must be 11-18 years old, and must be actively working on a project in order to remain in the lab. Note: Soldering, Dremel, and Sewing Machines not available unless a consent form is signed by a guardian.
From the Maker Lab Rules:
No open footwear such as sandals or flip-flops.
No loose or dangling scarves, jewelry, ribbons, or long hair.
