Helen Frost has always loved poetry, and she especially loves sharing poetry with children through writing and teaching. She taught elementary school in Massachusetts, Vermont, Scotland, and Alaska, and now lives and writes in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is the author of eleven novels-in-poems and seven picture books. She loves to travel, and has been to 48 states and 13 countries.
Michael Lindvall is a New York Times Best-Selling author of two novels – The Good News from North Haven (Doubleday, Pocket, Crossroad) and Leaving North Haven (Crossroad), as well as several volumes of accessible theology (Westminster/John Knox and Sterling). He is Senior Minister Emeritus of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Michael and his wife Terri split their days between Fort Wayne, Indiana and the shores of the Big Lake just north of Pentwater, Michigan. Michael was born in Minnesota and grew up there and in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
During Kayleen Reusser’s 30+-year writing career, she has written dozens of books for adults and children. Her books on World War II are based on interviews with 260 veterans, mostly from northeast Indiana. She has presented in-person and virtual programs to thousands of people. Her most recent book contains stories from men who served in Vietnam. As the wife and mother of Air Force airmen, Reusser focuses her writing efforts on telling veteran stories to help preserve America’s military heritage and raise the level of patriotism in this country.
Sharon Tubbs began her professional career as a newspaper reporter and editor. In a career that spanned 17 years, she worked briefly for the Philadelphia Inquirer then for the Tampa Bay Times. As a journalist, she covered various beats that included small-town government, local crime, and national religious issues. Today, Sharon Tubbs is a writer, an inspirational speaker, and the director of a nonprofit organization that empowers under-resourced residents in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to live healthier lives.
