Kim Alberg is a Genealogy Research Associate at the Midwest Genealogy Center (MGC) in Independence, Missouri. A genealogy enthusiast since her early childhood, Kim blends her passion for genealogy with her 39 years of classroom instruction to assist and educate MGC customers seeking to learn more about their heritage.
Born in Illinois, Kim is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education, and certifications in elementary, middle school, secondary social studies, and gifted education. Prior to joining the staff at MGC, Kim taught 31 years in the Blue Springs (Missouri) school system and an additional 8 years at William Jewell College and Blue River Community College in the greater Kansas City area. Now, she enjoys developing classes and teaching MGC customers new ways to uncover their family’s past.
