Exploring Missouri Roots - Available Resources in the "Show-Me" State
Rich in history and resources, Missouri ranks among the top states with free access to records dating back to before its statehood. This program will guide you through where you can find these collections in digital format or in-person research on a state, county, and township level.

Ginger Brickey is a Senior Genealogist and resident cemetery expert at Jefferson County Library - Missouri in the Genealogy and Local History department at Northwest Branch. Before joining the staff in 2018, Ginger used the collection regularly for her research, since moving to the area in 2006. The Special Collections of JCL include an extensive catalog, free access to online databases, and knowledgeable staff who can assist all levels of researchers. Remote research options are available.
