Luana Darby is an accredited genealogist, lecturer, and educator who lives in West Jordan with her husband and children. She has over 40 years of genealogical experience. Graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family History and later receiving a master’s degree in Library Science from San Jose State University, she brings a broad base of knowledge and experience to her clients and audience. She is the owner of Lineages by Luana, a genealogical research company which focuses on US/Canada and Western European research as well as forensic genealogy. She is a frequent lecturer at many genealogical and historical conferences.
Luana worked as an in-house genealogist for BYU-TV’s series Relative Race for seasons 3 & 4 and was past president of the Utah Genealogical Association, director of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and chair of the NGS 2020 conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. She currently serves on the ICAPGen board as a commissioner and as chapter registrar for DAR.
