Overview and Insights into the work of a German genealogist. Presented by Sven Grewel.

Sven is a genealogist living and working in Northern Germany. In his research he focuses on Hamburg, Berlin, and all of Northern Germany. He is originally from southern Germany and came to Kiel on the Baltic Sea via Cologne and Berlin.
After many years as a Senior Project Manager in marketing and market research in the medical field, he decided to change his profession and follow his hobby by helping other people discover their family history.
The history of his ancestors has always fascinated him and for many years he has been busy discovering new stories in his family. Of course, this then included learning Sütterlin and other old scripts in order to be able to read the documents.
In the course of his life, he has learned English, Latin, French, Chinese and at the moment he is trying to learn Danish.
Besides genealogy, he likes to travel and do sports like bouldering, cycling.
