Mary Lincoln and Poetry by Jason Emerson will be presented for free via Zoom on February 21, 2021 at 2 pm EST.

Abraham Lincoln and poetry are known to have a strong connection to each other, but what about his wife, Mary? Throughout history, Mary Lincoln has been the subject of numerous poems, both flattering and satirical. Please join historian and journalist Jason Emerson as he looks at Mary's poetic connections and explain the context surrounding them. Jason Emerson is a journalist and a Lincoln historian with over 25 years of research. He has written "Mary Lincoln for the Ages," "The Madness of Mary Lincoln," "Giant in the Shadows: The Life of Robert T. Lincoln," as well as numerous articles on the Lincoln family.

Lincoln at the Library is a series of presentations that is generously provided for by the Friends of the Allen County Public Library.
