A 2-session class on the Electoral College
The Electoral College is an important but little understood feature of American presidential elections. Some have called it obsolete, while others defend it as an integral part of our constitutional system.
Why did the framers of the Constitution create the Electoral College? How was it intended to operate, and does it in fact operate as intended? Learn the answers to questions like these, then consider whether it ought to be retained, reformed, or abolished.
Everyone is welcome to join us at Main library for this free 2-session program.
The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
