Want to make creative and colorful art? Join us for scrape painting, where every piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. No experience needed!
Scrape painting is a simple form of process art, where the emphasis is on artistic experimentation and letting go. Through process art, children and adults alike are encouraged to create their own unique works without any set expectations or guidelines. In this program, patrons will be able to explore the mixing and layering of colors through scrape painting and create wonderful abstract pieces using acrylic paint and various tools for scraping paint. Acrylic paint does not easily wash out of clothing, so expect to get messy!
This program is for all ages. Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
The Shawnee Branch boasts quite a large collection of Spanish language materials. Attention all future cooks and restauranteurs: young children love to "cook" in our play kitchen area.
