Intermediate Laser Cutting & Engraving with the Gweike

Already familiar with the basics of Laser cutting and engraving? Try our advanced Laser Printer! Learn how to operate the Gweike laser cutter by creating a stack of layered outdoor themed engravings!

Come to the Studio at Main to learn how to operate the Gweike laser cutter and how to set up a digital project with Lightburn software. Participants will discover how to engrave and cut their own outdoor themed layered engraving, set the correct settings and order of operations in Lightburn, and set the focus and origin point in the Gweike Laser. Patrons will leave with their own custom engraved and cut outdoor themed engraving (either on the day of the program or for pick-up later). Previous experience with laser cutters is highly recommended prior to attending this program. Limited to 10 participants.

This program was designed for 7th grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist them throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervising caregivers.
