Join us as we make our own lanterns to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival!
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Festival, is a popular harvest festival celebrated by people in China and some other Asian countries. During this program, children will learn about the Mid-Autumn Festival, what it celebrates, and what lanterns symbolize during the festival. Patrons will then make and decorate their own lantern, using materials such as tracing paper, popsicle sticks, washi tape, markers, and hot glue. All supplies provided.
This program is intended for children in 4th-6th grade. Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.

Each summer around 70 cross-country cyclists from many different countries visit Monroeville, with many visiting the library to use our WIFI. Customers from the surrounding area enjoy the branch’s Large Print collection, Scooby-Doo DVDs, and their Monroeville-focused genealogy collection.
