Debbie Kroopkin has been engaged in genealogical research for over 35 years and has been a part-time professional genealogist since 2010. After serving on the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois’ Board of Directors running their one-day conferences and other special projects, she served for ten years as its President and Co-President. She is currently its interim Vice President of Programming. She serves as Secretary for the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies. Debbie has published in Avotaynu, and has taught beginning genealogy to both teens and adults. She has presented at conferences, libraries, senior centers, and synagogues.
