Monroeville Branch

Meeting Room

Death-related records often mark the end of a life, but they can also open the door to powerful stories.

Stories of the Final Chapter explores how documents such as death certificates, obituaries, cemetery records, probate files, funeral home records, and newspapers reveal details about family relationships, community ties, health, and historical circumstances. Participants will learn how to read these records closely, recognize what is said, and what is missing, and use multiple sources to better understand the final chapter of an ancestor’s life.

This program is intended for adults. Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.
