Meeting Room

Learn about squirrels and contribute to citizen science with Project Squirrel.

Discover how you can help researchers track squirrel populations and behavior - an exciting way to explore urban ecology in your own neighborhood as a citizen scientist! Join us for some hands-on research to learn what types of observations to make for Project Squirrel. Create a nature journal to record your findings and learn how to share this data with researchers via SciStarter.org , a citizen science hub connecting people to real-world research.  This program is intended for all ages.

Space is limited; register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins. Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.

Summer Learning brings amazing events, creative programming, and fantastic prizes to everyone!
