Basics of Programming a Digital Beat

Learn to create and export your first digital beat using FL Studio.

Come to the Studio at Main to experience Intro to Beats with FL Studio. This is a 90-minute, hands-on program designed for adult beginners interested in music production, hip hop, and digital audio. This session walks participants through the basics of FL Studio, one of the most popular digital audio workstations used by professional and amateur beatmakers alike. Attendees will learn how to navigate the software interface, build drum patterns using the step sequencer, arrange beats on the timeline, export a finished track to take home, and an opportunity to play a short excerpt for other participants to enjoy.

No previous music or software experience is required. This program is perfect for adults curious about music technology, beat making, or exploring a new creative outlet. This program is intended for adults and limited to 10 participants. If you want to save your beat, please bring a USB Memory Stick or External Hard Drive 32gb or larger to the program. 

Space is limited, so register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Your registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.
