Join us for a FREE virtual program on January 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET!

Learn the cultural impact of traditional and ethnic foods of our ancestors woven into our family stories. Find possible origins of the traditional foods and recipes your family may share. The culture of foods relates directly to genealogy, and we will see why certain foods are found in certain cultures. Follow as we explore ancestor villages based on the foods and beverages they consumed. Learn why certain ethnicities owned taverns, others were butchers, or who had a bakery. We will also show how to use church event records to find if your ancestors ate lutefisk or schnitzel. Plus, we explore how to research your ancestor's "normal day" - even with photos!
