Learn how to make a Winter Solstice wax paper lantern with pressed flowers and greenery to light up the longest night of the year!

Winter Solstice lanterns are traditionally made to light up the longest night of the year, and celebrate crossing the halfway point through winter, after which the nights will start getting shorter again as spring approaches. Come learn how to make your own with wax paper and pressed flowers!

The Little Turtle branch was named after Miami chief Little Turtle, who was born near Ft. Wayne. The Little Turtle branch is home to unique circulating collections, including puzzles and games, and the ACPL Seed Library.
