Studio Hours at the Pontiac Branch!

The Studio at Pontiac is now open for patrons!

The following machines are available for personal projects: Cricut Maker 3, Cricut Autopress, Cricut Brightpad, Prusa Mk4S 3D Printer, Laminator, Button Maker, and Janome Sewist 500 Sewing Machine. Up to nine (9) Library laptops are available for checkout and offer both Cricut Design Space and Prusa Slicer softwares, but you are free to bring your own device as well for use with Library machines. If you are using a library computer, please bring a personal data storage device (USB drive) to save your work. Open Hours are intended for elementary ages, teens, and adults. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending Studio Hours must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible caregiver while in the Studio.

The Studios have some materials available for purchase for projects, but we highly recommend bringing your own materials for your projects (vinyl, cardstock, blanks, fabric, thread, etc.). 3D printers can only print using the filament provided by the library.

  • No registration required. Machines are first-come, first-served.
  • All minors (17 and under) who would like to use the Studio at ACPL must have a participation release signed by a parent/guardian on file.
  • Accessibility needs? Please contact ask@acpl.info as soon as possible - we’d love to help.

Don’t miss the stained glass window that was designed by William L. Lupkin Designs and donated by the building’s architect, Alan R.Grinsfelder. The Pontiac Branch is a community destination for neighborhood kids, organizations & clubs, and those in need of computer access.
