Meeting Room

A 3D pen allows you to draw an art project into a two-or-three dimensional object. We will be using them to create travel pins or patches to remind you of your summer adventures!

You can use a 3D pen to draw just about anything you can imagine! Using a 3D pen allows you to draw on a flat surface or in mid-air using plastic filament. These drawings create two-or-three-dimensional structures that then solidify and harden. In this program we will create pins or patches to remind you of adventures you have had, or want to have! All supplies provided. Limited to 8 participants.

This program was designed for 2nd grade and up, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist them. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program.

Space is limited: register in advance to reserve your spot and receive reminders. Registration will guarantee your seat until the event begins.

About the library

Situated on the edge of a busy city neighborhood and within easy driving distance of farms and country-dwellers, Hessen Cassel Branch has been a lifeline for the community since its doors opened in 1972. The library serves as a meeting place for customers of all ages, and is heavily used after school. Hessen Cassel Branch intentionally supports the developmental needs of customers of all ages. From wooden blocks, puppets, and play clothes for children; to classes on art techniques, budgeting, and Allen County history; to an ever-changing collection of print, AV, and electronic materials; we serve a dynamic neighborhood that is rich in cultural and ethnic diversity.
