The West Virginia and Regional History Center, established in 1930, is a premier archive library dedicated to preserving the rich genealogical history of West Virginia and the central Appalachian region. Initially tasked with safeguarding Senator Waitman T. Willey's papers, it has since expanded its collections to include documents from key political and industrial figures like Francis H. Pierpont, Henry Gassaway Davis, and Johnson Newlon Camden. Today, the center boasts unparalleled collections of West Virginia books, periodicals, photographs, maps, broadsides, and folk music, making it a vital resource for exploring the state's economic, cultural, and social history. Presented by Lori Hostuttler.
Lori Hostuttler is the Assistant Director of the West Virginia and Regional History Center.
