A fun and easygoing 2-segment course where we learn how to take an example zombie miniature from virtual concept to painted completion. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
No Prior 3D printing or modeling experience is necessary to participate.
The class is divided into 2 parts:
The first half of the course will focus on more technical aspects of 3D printing.
You will learn how to take 3D character models, optimize them for printing by utilizing relevant software and finally render them in proper detail and to an appropriate scale on the 3D printers.
The second half will focus on the more artistic aspect once we have our 3D print completed. Through sanding, priming, and finally painting, we will finish the class with a unique miniature that is ready to be put into play.
For safety reasons, snacks and refreshments will be provided during the painting segment only.
In addition to keeping the miniature, you will also receive a certificate for a free 3D print the next time you come into the Maker Lab.
