The Pentagon is not listed as a Fortune 500 company; however, its global impact and influence, multiple subsidiaries, trade, and acquisition policies, and business foundation is indicative of the opposite. Many of our household, automotive, aerospace, and medical technologies are closely intertwined with the U.S. Armed Forces. The large companies are well known; however, the defense industry is an almost invisible support system to the U.S. economy. This presentation will provide a foundation for understanding the defense, trade, and technological advances within American society.

The Main Library includes six public meeting rooms, a theater, art gallery, underground parking garage, the Genealogy Center, and the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. Parking at the main library is free if you have a valid library card. If you do not have a library card, parking costs $1/hour with a maximum charge of $7 for the day. Parking tickets must be taken inside the main library for validation and/or payment.
