Reserve a supply kit to create your own Plushie Keychain!
Create a Winter Owl plushie keychain! Each kit comes with supplies and directions to create your own Winter Owl Plushie Keychain. Make it at home, or make it in the Georgetown Maker Lab.
To receive a complimentary set of supplies for the Winter Owl Plushie Project Kit, please register using the link on the left to reserve a set. By registering for this supply kit, you are reserving one or more kits for pick up at the Georgetown Branch. Kits will be available beginning on the day listed and held for the week for pick up during regular hours. If you are unable to pick up your kits, please cancel your registration online or by calling the Georgetown Branch.
Request multiple kits by using the "Add More People" option during registration. You will receive one kit for each person registered. 30 kits available.
Please note: While directions and most supplies are included in the kit, tools are not. This kit requires use of the following tools that are not included: water soluble fabric pencil, embroidery needle, sewing pins, hot glue gun, and chopstick.
From the Maker Lab Rules:
No open footwear such as sandals or flip-flops.
No loose or dangling scarves, jewelry, ribbons, or long hair.
Parents of children under 12 must be present the entire time.
Need a sewing skills refresher or want to learn some basic stitches? Sign up for one of our handsewing workshops on the ACPL events page. We offer Introduction to Hand Sewing, which focuses on felt and three basic stitches, and Introduction to Practical Hand Sewing, which introduces felt versus fabric stitching, and skills such as sewing holes, buttons, and more!

The Georgetown branch is home to a full-service maker lab with a large collection of tools that customers can use to create things. The branch features a public fax machine, study rooms, a meeting room, and a popular collection of materials that includes video games.
