Practice your reading with a trained and certified therapy dog!

Share a book with your new best friend! Paws to Read develops reading skills and confidence when you share a book with a dog. They’re great listeners!

The SPARK Summer Learning Program is generously funded by the Foellinger Foundation, Friends of the Allen County Public Library and the Allen County Public Library Foundation. Join us this summer for amazing events, creative programming, and fantastic prizes.  Log the time you spend reading to help us read to our 10 million minute community goal. This program is intended for all ages. Register for all programs on our Events page, on the ACPL mobile app, or by calling the branch. In an effort to be courteous to our presenters, audience members, and waitlisted registrants:

  • Register all attendees
  • Please arrive prior to the program’s start time. Registering for a program will not hold your seat after the program’s designated start time
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration online or by calling the branch

About the library

The Woodburn branch is located across the street from a John Deere store, within easy walking distance of the Lutheran Elementary school and the park. The library’s unique hours are specialized to best serve the surrounding town and country-dwellers.
