Caring for a pet is a big job! From training to supplies – our furry friends rely on us to stay happy, healthy and safe.

Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control’s humane education programs help children understand our pets’ needs and how they can be a responsible pet guardian. We also explore life through our pets’ eyes and learn to “speak dog” to prevent bites. No program would be complete without stepping into the shoes of the shelter veterinarian and exploring all of the exciting careers helping animals in our community.    .

The SPARK Summer Learning Program is generously funded by the Foellinger Foundation, Friends of the Allen County Public Library and the Allen County Public Library Foundation.
