Practice your reading with a trained and certified therapy dog!
Dogs are great listeners! Each reader gets 10 minutes of time, or siblings may share a 10-minute slot. Register online to reserve your place, then call 260-421-1330 or come in between 4:00 - 4:30 pm to choose your specific 10-minute time slot. Time slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. PAWS to Read runs from 4:00 - 5:00 pm.
This program is intended for children. Register for all programs on our Events page, on the ACPL mobile app, or by calling the branch. In an effort to be courteous to our presenters, audience members, and waitlisted registrants:
· Register all attendees: children, adults and caregivers
· Please arrive prior to the program’s start time. Registering for a program will not hold your seat after the program’s designated start time
· If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration online or by calling the branch at 260-421-1330

Situated on the edge of a busy city neighborhood and within easy driving distance of farms and country-dwellers, Hessen Cassel Branch has been a lifeline for the community since its doors opened in 1972. The library serves as a meeting place for customers of all ages, and is heavily used after school. Hessen Cassel Branch intentionally supports the developmental needs of customers of all ages. From wooden blocks, puppets, and play clothes for children; to classes on art techniques, budgeting, and Allen County history; to an ever-changing collection of print, AV, and electronic materials; we serve a dynamic neighborhood that is rich in cultural and ethnic diversity.
